Why I'm torn on this

The staff here are genuinely friendly , and the rooms are clean and well-kept. I enjoyed the convenient water and coffee stations available throughout the day.

Unfortunately, I encountered noise disturbances from other guests at late hours, difficult to get restful sleep. The breakfast lacked variety, particularly with limited fruit options.

From the moment we arrived, we were disappointed. The carpets were disgusting, the staff was not helpful, the elevator reeked of marijuana and the entire place just smelled unpleasant. We were not able to find a luggage cart and the person at the desk said she would find us one. She came back and told the other desk person she couldn't find one, didn't even address us. So the 4 of us, including my 75 year old mother carried our bags to our room. Upon exiting the elevator on the 3rd floor, there was a luggage cart. The tub was stained black/brown on the bottom, so we didn't even bother showering here. Thank god it was only one night at this place. Never coming here again.

Clean place with affordable breakfasts. The rooms in housekeeping. So many awesome options for breakfast, such as eggs, bread and hot waffles. Marvellous location to Huckleberry Trail. Loved great area. A nice stay for the price.

Recommend for a weekend stopover

Comfy room, friendly staff, the breakfast area features a complimentary hot breakfast with eggs, sausage, and Belgian waffles, making it convenient for starting your day before exploring the nearby attractions, only about 40 minutes from the airport.

Rooms were comfortable, I also liked the location. Breakfast was good, housekeepers did very good job.

Refrigerator did not have knob to adjust the temperature. Other than that it was great.

Location is a short drive to downtown just off 81.

I've never seen such a run down and worn out facility get such a high score. They should be giving discounts while they renovate. For example - ice machines and rollaway cots in the hallways. Used Kleenex under the vanity. Alarm clock that made popping sounds during the night, a non-working safe. I could go on but you get the idea. I felt ripped off.

Landscaping. Poor access parking area from far end of building.

Very friendly, helpful staff, very clean room and hotel, good breakfast with fresh fruit, swimming pool, large parking lot, elevator, very good room facilities, rooms very large and bright, convenient yet quiet location.

Breakfast was plentiful and very good... Room was comfortable... Staff was nice and very helpful... If I am in the Blacksburg area again, I will come back!!

The hotel offered non-smoking rooms and environs, however the smokers tended to congregate at the front door... and us non-smokers were "treated" (assaulted?) with too much second-hand smoke as we walked out the door... (Some of these smokers were staff!)

My kids wished the breakfast area was larger to accommodate families better.

The night person during my second stay was extremely cordial and helpful. Breakfast was good.

The motel is a mess even in spots where construction is not taking place. If I were the chief housekeeper for this location, I'd either be pulling out a lot of gray hair, firing a lot of help or instituting a rigorous training program.

bed was nice and clean. so it made for a nice night sleep.

nothing else was. it was dirty everywhere but the bed.
